Serengeti Press Brunch - Introducing Our New Office

Marko Kaselj, Marketing Specialist

A renowned software company is expected to constantly monitor new opportunities, expand their horizons, and, consequently, expand business opportunities to new premises, far beyond its headquarters. Our company’s management was guided by these expectations when we opened an office in Kragujevac at the end of last year. They say that real leaders find the best business opportunities in times of crisis.

We are extremely proud of our Kragujevac office, which currently consists of about 20 experienced developers and has since become one of the flagships of our business. As such it serves as a kind of accelerator for the further development of the IT community in Serbia, since we also employ developers who are not necessarily from Kragujevac. It is this socially responsible business that we see as one of our tasks as a prominent international software development and consulting company and we like to think that we are fulfilling it well to the general satisfaction of the community.

All of the above was reason enough for us to decide to introduce ourselves to the audience in Serbia live, despite these challenging times. Therefore, on November 9, in Mama’s Shelter, a wonderful Belgrade restaurant, we held a press brunch to which we invited renowned tech journalists and lovers. We would also like to thank our partners who helped us in organization matters – the renowned Belgrade creative agency New Moment, New Ideas, Senior PR Manager Zorka Radlović, and Media Relations Director Maša Vučković.

The meeting in Belgrade was a great opportunity for our CEO Goran Kalanj to address everyone present and to present Serengeti’s strategic plans, as well as the array of opportunities that Serengeti’s expansion to the Serbian market brings for all ambitious developers – and the market shows great potential.

“As part of our development strategy, by opening an office in Kragujevac, we also provide an opportunity for software experts from Serbia to be part of our growth and expansion into new markets,” said Goran. Furthermore, he noted that Serengeti offers unique benefits such as working on diverse and long-term projects and with technologies of the future such as Machine Learning and Cloud, among others. Serengeti’s client and partner lists includes renowned names such as Erste Bank Serbia, German hospitality giant Protel and the Slovenian logistics company Epilog, as well as Addiko Bank, NETS, Mercury, Audifon, Knapp and others.

Apart from Goran, Živojin Đorđević, Lead Software Developer and the first employee of Serengeti Serbia, also addressed the audience.

“Serengeti really offers a good development opportunity to us employees. We have got the opportunity to work with global clients on fantastic projects. The working environment is excellent, it’s all well organized, and the company offers very attractive conditions. I am very glad that I am the first employee in Serbia, and I am looking forward to my future in Serengeti,” Živojin told the audience.

Serengeti's three-member entourage at the Belgrade gathering also included our Head of Marketing and Business Development Ana Milas.

We like expanding our business – but we must also spread good vibes, nurture quality relationships in the community and encourage the growth and development of ambitious and promising individuals, and these items are an indispensable part of our vision and mission, our corporate credo in mutual relations and interactions. We are extremely glad that the journalists in neighboring Serbia were able to see first-hand our intentions and plans. At the of the gathering they were rewarded with a small token of appreciation for their presence – a Serengeti gift package.

We are looking forward to our next visit to Serbia and to a new gathering, and we sincerely hope that during that future visit we will be able to boast with an even greater number of top Serbian IT experts, developers, product managers and system architects taking part on Serengeti's projects!
