Once again, HrOUG (Croatian Oracle User Group) and HUJAK (Croatian Java User Association) are organizing the largest international Java conference in this part of Europe. Their intent is to hold 50 sessions by high-quality speakers from Croatia and the EU, as well as world renown speakers from this field. More than 300 participants are expected to join for another edition of the JavaCro conference which will take place in Terme Tuhelj Hotel Well, Tuheljske toplice, one of the top tourist destinations in Croatia.

Those involved from the very beginning will remember the newly completed Well Hotel and a number of interesting sessions from famous speakers, including Java Champions Gavin King (Hibernate), Juergen Hoeller (Spring, VMware), Angelika Langer (independent consultant), Geertjan Wielenga (Oracle, now Azul) and Matjaž B. Jurič (University of Ljubljana).

JavaCro conferences are known not only for excellent sessions and speakers but also for quality networking with people in the programming field. The conference boasts many moments when participants can network in less forma and an engaging atmosphere when it is often easier to network and exchange knowledge and experiences. Most often, these conversations and direct contact of all participants and speakers resulting in faster and better problem solving and technical optimization of solutions as well as the establishment of beneficial collaborations and partnerships.

Serengeti will be represented by our colleague, Miloš Stefanović. He is an experienced Java Software Developer and Development team lead with a demonstrated history of working in software development companies working in Java, FHIR, Hibernate, and Oracle.

Miloš’ presentation is „FHIR in eHealth systems “.

His presentation will address what is FHIR, and why is FHIR used in eHealth systems. What are FHIR’s advantages in comparison to other similar technologies, and FHIR’s benefits compared to other software. Also, FHIR will be compared to the usual way of development using Spring and Hibernate. How fast can an average Java developer learn and use FHIR? To conclude his presentation, Miloš will present a case study with an example of real-world implementation.

Be sure to check out Miloš' presentation and project showcase on Tuesday, May the 17th, in 09:00 in Hall B!
